Addiction # 10 - CHI Hair Straightener

I recently just bought a new CHI, and I must say, I can't leave the house without using it.

It heats up so quickly that you don't need to wait, plug it in and straighten your hair.

The reason it's so addicting, because it does something to your hair that makes it so shiny and straight and perfect that if you leave the house without using it you just feel BLAH.

This is what mine looks like!

I love it. There is no other straightener that does as good of a job as the CHI.

Also, you use it to curl and flip your hair, so it's 3 hair tools in one basically.

They also aren't cheap, but it's worth the price for the finished product on your head!

Addiction # 9 - Home Depot

Okay,

I don't know what it is about this store but I can spend a fortune in there (and I don't even have my own home?!)

For some reason I like the smell of all the wood & stuff, it's like they make it smell "homey" so you want to buy things or something sneaky like that.

Not to mention, the staff was amazingly helpful when I was looking for a wrench set for my dad and had absolutely NO idea what to look for.

I got a lot of my Christmas shopping done there, they actually have a lot more selection then I thought a "home store" would have!
I know find myself looking for reasons to go to Home Depot, even though I am not handy what-so-ever :)

They do however have really neat workshops for WOMEN certain days of the month, so I would like to check it out one day, for future reference when I have my own place.
Not to mention, the Harvey's they have in Home Depot's are awfully convenient aren't they!

Addiction # 8 - Ferrero Rocher

I don't know why these chocolates are so addicting, but seriously, I get a box with 16 like this...

and they are gone in like 10 minutes!!

I guess it has a perfect combination of chocolate, wafer crunch, and hazel nuts.

yummy!

It is kind of a tradition that I get a box every Christmas in my stocking, and by the time the present wrapping is done, so are the chocolates!

What I didn't know is that there is a factory right near where I live...that is very convenient! :)

They aren't cheap though, usually a 16 pack is around $8.99-$10.99, depends where you buy them.

It's okay to splurge sometimes, all this talk about chocolate has created a craving though!

Addiction # 7 - TWILIGHT

Attention Twi-hards!!

You know this blog post is for you - for those who crave a little Edward Cullen and envy ( A LOT) of Bella Swan, I FEEL THE EXACT SAME WAY.

I know vampire stories have been around far beyond my time, but this is by far the best love story I have ever read.

Basically its a love story about a girl who moves to her dads in the small town of Forks, and falls in love with a boy - so she thought. Turns out he is a vampire, but there love for eachother doesn't change. The 4 books are the struggles that the couple faces when a vampire doesn't date one of their own.

The release of the Twilight movie was a big deal, now with the New Moon release just a week away - it's all the craze right now.

So, this blogs for all the Twilight Fans out there.

And for those of you who won't join the craze, you seriously don't know how addicting the books are until you read them - you won't be able to stop!

Addiction # 6 - HGTV

So everyone has that one television channel that they just can't turn off...mine is HGTV - Home & Garden Television Network.
I think I was born in the wrong generation, because I definitly love to learn about cooking, home inspections and the value of properties across the world. I know, it's a little weird. I guess I am 20 going on 35 :)

I have always been interested in interior design, I don't have a passion for it, but I think it's amazing that they can turn an ugly space into something useful.

My favourite show on HGTV is Property Virgins, hosted by Sandra Rinomato, where she offers her advice for first time home buyers.
The show is entertaining because you see different people looking for different houses, it gives me ideas of what I might want when I become a first time home buyer.

Check out her show at 9pm on Wednesdays!

Addiction # 5 - My BlackBerry

This wouldn't be a true addictions blog unless I had BlackBerry on it.

I have the BlackBerry World Edition, so it doesn't have a camera or anything but with all the applications I have loaded, I don't need it.

It is by far the best communication tool I have ever used, I have all means of social networking in the palm of my hand.

One touch access, to BBM (Blackberry messenger), Facebook and Twitter, plus your basic phone calls and text messages & e-mails makes this better then my PC!

I seriously had to think hard about getting a BlackBerry because they are known as the "crackberry" now I know why - they are addicting!

I have actually read studies where more people are even bringing their blackberrys into the bedroom with them - using time on their handheld instead of their spouse!

Homewrecker!

Addiction # 4 - Perez Hilton

Whether he is getting punched in the face by a Black Eyed Pea, or drawing inappropriate *but hilarious* drawings on Miley Cyrus' picture, Perez Hilton keeps me coming back to his website - every day.

Perez Hilton, known as the Queen of All Media, owns and blogs on his Hollywood gossip website almost religiously.

His witty humour and blunt comments towards Hollywood's hottest celebrities are hilarious. He is the guy that Hollywood LOVES to HATE.

The reason this website is so addicting to me is I love pop culture and I enjoy "being in the know" about Hollywood's hottest and he is constantly updating and adding new blog posts. I also like how you can read people's comments on his posts as well as post your own comments!

True or not, its a quick, entertaining read instead of buying a tabloid magazine.

Try it out, I guarantee you will "LOL" at least once!

Addiction # 3 - Lay's Baked Chips

One Word.

mmmmm...

Simple, I know, but these chips are so amazingly delicious *and semi-good for you* that I just had to put them on my addicting things list.

I love to eat, and lately I have been trying to lose a few pounds in preparation for the holiday weight I will most likely gain this December :)

I know chips aren't the best snack choice, but being baked this snack makes you feel a little better while eating it (even if it's a whole bag?)

These chips have amazing unique flavors, including Parmesan and Tuscan flavor, Southwestern Ranch and Cheddar and Sour Cream.

And they are all glutten and trans fat free.

Try them out, I bet you can't eat just one!

Addiction # 2 - Pogo.com

About a year ago I was bored on a lunch break and stumbled upon an awesome website.

The website is pogo.com - it's a website with thousands of games (some only exclusive to Pogo) and tons of cool features.

There are two options with pogo.com:

You can either play for free (and have the hassle of advertisements interupting your game every so often)

Or, you can pay a yearly membership fee and have exclusive gaming time on pogo, as well as member only perks.

Some fun features of pogo.com are the mini characters you can create to suit your own style - you use the tokens you win in games to purchase these items from the Mini Mall; you can be anything from a scuba diver to dress up as your favorite halloween character.

Also, every week there are weekly "badges" you can earn by doing various tasks in certain games to win the weekly prize.

Each badge is usually accompanied by 2000-5000 bonus tokens.

Some recommended games are: Phlinx, Pogo Addiction Solitaire, Poppit and Scrabble.

If you have friends that you know who use the game site as well, you can add them to your friends list so you know what game room they are in and you can join the same game room.
Although this addiction makes me look a little nerdy, it's all in good fun when you're bored on a rainy Wednesday and have nothing else to do!

Addiction #1 - FARMVILLE

So we all know how highly addicting Facebook is.

An example of it's addiction is when I go to use the computer and not even thinking I type in facebook.com into internet explorer!

This is where Farmville adds to the addiction factor!!
Farmville is an application you can load onto your Facebook page.

  • When you first log on, you're given a plot of land and 20,000 coins to start your farm off!
  • Use your coins to plow the land, and make the soil ready to plant seeds!
  • Plant the seeds of your choice!
  • The more you plant & harvest - the more experience you gain! Unlocking awesome items.
  • Check back often! Because crops have a determined growing time - if you don't harvest them in time, they will wither and die!!!
  • You also have animals (what kind of farm would it be without animals!) which you can buy or be gifted from your neighbours!
  • Be kind and help your neighbours and you'll be rewarded with coins and experience!

OK, so now that you know the main objectives of this game, you are probably thinking.."what's so special about it..." I dare you to try it!

I rate this addicting game a 9 out of 10.

Don't let those crops go to waste :)!
